Andrew leads our investment process and our team of portfolio managers. With a broad base of experience in finance and investing, Andrew is responsible for maintaining Maxim's focus on delivering world-class investment services to our clients.
Prior to founding Maxim, Andrew was Senior Portfolio Manager at Chinook Capital Management in Portland, Oregon. Andrew has also worked in international equity research for Montgomery Asset Management, HSBC Securities and Donaldson, and Lufkin & Jenrette (now Credit Suisse). He began his career as a consultant with Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Andrew graduated Cum Laude from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Finance and a minor in Spanish. He holds the highest industry credentials including CFA and CPA, and serves on the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of Portland. Andrew has traveled extensively and enjoys a lifelong passion for international culture and languages. Andrew lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and two children, a son and a daughter.

As our Managing Director of Expat Wealth Management, David focuses on wealth planning for our global citizen and expatriate clients as well as ensuring our organization is up to date on the latest American expat tax laws and financial planning strategies. David is considered one of the foremost industry experts on international tax planning for American expats.
David began his career with Ernst & Young in Palo Alto, CA. After several years working in the U.S., he moved to Amsterdam where he spent 6 years as an expat tax advisor and practice leader for the U.S. Tax Group of Ernst & Young in The Netherlands. In 2004, David established the U.S. tax practice of TaXpat BV, an expatriate tax specialist located in Amsterdam.
David graduated Cum Laude from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Business Administration with a double concentration in Finance and Accounting. He holds the highest industry credentials including CPA, PFS and CFP®, and is a member of the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce and the American Business Club. David lives in Amsterdam with his wife and daughter.

In addition to advising clients on their investment strategies, Jeannie leads our expatriate client service team and supervises the administrative support for our expat clients. She enjoys working with people and derives great satisfaction from helping her clients achieve their personal financial goals while planning for their futures.
Prior to joining Maxim, Jeannie was a Portfolio Manager at Chinook Capital Management. Previously, Jeannie worked as an Investment Specialist at Charles Schwab & Co. in Portland, Oregon. Jeannie graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Economics and minors in both Business and History from the University of San Francisco. She is currently studying to earn her Certification in Financial Planning (CFP). She enjoys spending time with her family and makes her home in Portland with her husband and two daughters.

Jim is a senior client advisor as well as the leader of our domestic client service team. He has been advising clients on their investment portfolios since 1984. His professional philosophy can be summarized as follows: Stick with good quality stocks, bonds, and mutual funds; invest for the long term; monitor your portfolio to assure proper asset allocation; and maintain a solid discipline that removes emotion from the decision-making process.
Prior to joining Maxim, Jim spent eleven years with Charles Schwab & Co. in various capacities including Investment Consultant, Branch Manager, and Regional Trust Services Manager. Jim previously worked as a Regional Manager and VP of the U.S. Bank Investment Division where he managed fixed income portfolios for individuals and institutions. Jim also worked as a financial advisor with AG Edwards, where he primarily focused on investment strategies in commodities and currencies.
Jim is a graduate of Southern Oregon University with a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Economics. He lives with his wife Tracy in West Linn, Oregon and has three children and one granddaughter. He enjoys spending time outdoors appreciating the beautiful surroundings of the Great Pacific Northwest.
